The rebuilding of the Pier was a real challenge as there was no operating cathodic protection system for the last 10+ years. This entailed: structural steel demolition, structural steel fabrication, structural steel installation, pipeline/piping demolition, pipe fabrication, pipeline/piping installation, new electrical instrumentation infrastructure systems and a new Cathodic Protection system. This involved running three fabrication shops around the clock. The site also worked 24/7.
